Pros and Cons of Visiting the Luxor Casino Resort

You will always have plenty of choice in regards to where you can stay in Vegas and also at which casinos you can play any type of slot machine you can imagine. However, if you have never been lucky enough to visit Vegas before, and are thinking of doing so, then allow us to introduce you to the Luxor Casino.

The first thing worth knowing about the Luxor Casino is that it is one of the nearest casinos to McCarran airport, so in regards to getting there once you land it isn’t going to take as long as it will take you to get to some of the other Strip located properties.

In regards to the type of Players Club on offer, as the Luxor is part of MGM Resorts International then it will be the MLife Rewards Players Club you will have access to when gambling there, and as such the comps you will be earning and the rewards will be the exact same ones as you will be earning and getting at any of their other Vegas located casinos.

The Deuce Bus service that runs the entire length of the Vegas Strip and to the Downtown area of Vegas offers a service to this casino resort, plus there is a mini monorail that will take you from the Mandalay Bay Casino to the Luxor Casino and then onto the Excalibur and back again, which is free to use, if you are prepared to walk you will also be able to get to it.

However, we would advice against walking there if you are visiting in the middle of summer, as the temperature and the amount of walking depending where you set off from can be unbearable for most people!

Once inside the Luxor you will be amazed at the design of the building, for when you look up you will see all of the rooms and suites are built into the three walls of the Pyramid shaped building, which is quite awe-inspiring if you have never seen it before.

The main gaming floor is located on the ground floor, so in no time at all once walking through the main entrance you will be guaranteed of finding the exact types of games you want to play, and they certainly do have a large array of games spread over the 120,000 square foot gaming floor!

Up on the next floor you will find all of the dining venues however what you may appreciate if you do ever fancy a change of scenery is that you will find a direct walkway to the sister property that being the Mandalay Bay Casino Resort, and as such you will not have to venture outside into the heat to get to that property.

There are of course resort fees to be paid if you are staying at the Luxor, but in regards to the room and suite costs they are relatively low in price when compared to most of the other MGM Resorts International properties, and they also often offer special additional deals to including but not limited to free dining credit.
